JOE CARR
Chief Executive Officer
Joe Carr is the Chief Executive Officer of Thrill One Sports & Entertainment, Prior to Thrill One, Joe was the President of the World Surf League and was responsible for the organization’s media distribution, live events, athlete management, digital product, international business, and legal affairs.
Previously, he served as Senior Vice President, Head of International and Content at UFC, where he was responsible for UFC’s global strategy, operations and content distribution. Joe also played a key role in Endeavor’s acquisition of UFC, which at the time became the largest acquisition of a sports property in history. He began his career in real estate private equity and graduated from Harvard University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in Economics.

NICK CARTAN
EVP, Commercial Partnerships
Nick Cartan is the Executive Vice President of Commercial Partnerships for Thrill One. Nick is responsible for the entire commercial partnerships division and leads our efforts to drive sponsorship revenue across the portfolio.
Nick has made a meaningful impact by creating an integrated sales approach which commercializes Thrill One’s full suite of assets which has led to attracting more blue-chip sponsors and executing on renewal and upsell deals.
Prior to Thrill One, Nick spent four years at World Surf League and the prior five years at Fox Sports where he achieved much success, including the sale of WSL’s major sponsorship and partnership with Jeep.

SARAH CASTANEDA
EVP, Events
Sarah Castaneda is the Executive Vice President of Events for Thrill One. Sarah has over 18 years of experience in event development and execution of the largest and most prestigious events in action sports. She has held a leadership role with large, world-class events and special content-driven projects within the action sports disciplines of Skateboarding, BMX, Snowboarding, Freeskiing, Freestyle Moto, RallyCross and Scootering.
Sarah’s expertise lies in the specific areas of competition management and overall athlete experience; including selection, invites, athlete activation, competition format, scheduling, rules, run-of-show formats, and live televised competition coordination/management.

BRETT CLARKE
Chief Revenue Officer
Brett Clarke is the Revenue Officer and has an extensive background in the sports and entertainment industry after serving 9 years in Australia’s National Rugby League as the General Manager of Wests Tigers, one of the country’s largest sporting franchises.
Brett was inducted into the Ivy League’s inaugural 10 NEXT Class of 2011 for global sports leaders 30 or under and was also inducted into the Leaders Under 40 Class of 2016 at the Leaders Sports Business awards event in London. Currently driving the commercial elements of the business, Brett is overseeing the rapid growth of sponsorship, as well as heading up the global licensing, consumer products and media distribution departments of the business as well as the establishment of the Nitro Rallycross brand.

LIA FRAZIER
Chief Financial Officer
Lia Frazier is the Chief Financial Officer at Thrill One Sports & Entertainment and is responsible for all of the company’s financial functions including accounting, audit, corporate finance and treasury.
Prior to joining Thrill One, Lia was SVP of Finance and Administration at NextVR, Inc., and she played a key role in effectuating the acquisition of NextVR by Apple in May 2020. Before that, she served as VP - Global Corporate Controller at Viant Technology, a now publicly traded digital media company. Lia spent the first four years of her career as an auditor at KPMG.

SHANE NICKERSON
President, Thrill One Media
Shane oversees all content across the Thrill One portfolio. He has played a pivotal role in building out Thrill One’s media business by leveraging our portfolio of IP, creative concepts, and talent.
Shane has been producing television since 2000, where he began his career as a segment producer for CBS’s reality series Big Brother. Quickly learning how to identify and create strong content that resonates with an audience, Shane then went on to produce MTV shows like Rich Girls with Ally Hilfiger, Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica with Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey, and Cameron Diaz’ eco-travel documentary series, Trippin’.
Shane was then hired to help punch up a comedic reality pilot featuring Rob Dyrdek. Working closely together, Shane and Rob built Rob and Big into one of MTV’s most popular and beloved comedy series in the network’s history. The two continued to work together to create seven seasons of Fantasy Factory, over 20 seasons of Ridiculousness, The Dude Perfect Show, and much more.

JENNY KIM
General Counsel
Jenny Kim is General Counsel at Thrill One. Prior to her role as General Counsel, Jenny was Thrill One’s VP, Legal & Business Affairs. She advised Fortune 500 companies and major players in the media, technology, and fashion industries for a decade while in private practice, including at Greenberg Traurig and Troutman Sanders. Jenny received her J.D. from Stanford Law School and her B.A. and M.A. from Stanford University.
